Common Ducted Independently Ducted
Common ducted electrolyzers do not separate product hydrogen and
oxygen gases via independent ducting;
product Hydrogen and Oxygen gases are allowed to mix prior to combustion. Independently ducted systems
especially separate the Hydrogen and Oxygen gases immediately after production.
Common ducted design specifications
* Common ducted systems are T shaped electrolyzers
* Typically parallel plate series cell design
Independent ducted design specifications
* Independently ducted systems are cylindrical or rectangular shaped with clearly separate anodes and cathodes!! (Most important feature)
* Typically bi-polar, rod type design
